Light painting has been around almost as long as cameras with longer shutter times. Many different people have copyrights for their photographs, but Picasso created the wonderful world of light painting in the 1920's in a darkened room with a torch.

Of course there has been many other inventions for light painting since Picasso made his first sketch. In the 1990's the Hosemaster fiber-optic light-painting system was invented for many kinds of photographers. Since then, there have been improvements and also new and improved types of equipment such as light brushes.

Either way, light painting has been an inspiration for millions with it's beautiful and intriguing 3-D and experimental effects. To learn more about the history of light painting, go to the Wikipedia website.
