Isolations

An isolation is a trick in which the ball is moving, but appears to be standing still. There are several ways to achieve this illusion; however, the easiest way it so pour the ball from hand to hand in front of you. While this is the easiest method of performing an isolations, these types of tricks are the most difficult to perform, so it will take lots of practice to achieve the desired effect.

Step One: Hold the ball in the palm of one hand, with the heel of the other hand touching the tips of the fingers of the hand holding the ball. Allow the ball to roll into the other hand.

Step Two: While the ball is rolling into the palm of the second hand, move the first hand in front of the second and perform the same motion. The ball should appear to be cascading from hand to hand, but never changing position in front of you. Repeat this motion over and over again.
