Get a good mug...or two.

I never used to understand buying someone a coffee mug as a gift. Now I do.

If you're going to enjoy your coffee in one place, there's always that kitchsy mug that's your favorite...the short and stout one with plenty of room for whip cream, the tall, skinny one that doesn't expose your hot chocolate to the cold...(we fight over mugs at Deja's that serious).

And, if you're on the go, there's the travel mug that doesn't leak, fits 20 ounces worth of joe...the list goes on (FYI: a lot of time, if your bring your own mug to a coffee shop, you get a discount.)

Strapping for cash? And empty glass jar (make sure to save the lid!) works, too.
