Both government and private organizations have been created in Colombia to help Colombian citizens deal with the overwhelming social, psychological and economic impact of rampant kidnapping in the country. Entire books and websites have been dedicated to the subject. For over ten years, radio stations have programmed shows reserved for relatives of kidnapping victims to send messages to their loved ones. The following is a list of some of the resources available to families of victims of the kidnapped and to survivors of captivity. These links are to Spanish language resources.
