The fast food industry is not out to make America fatter... Americans are doing it to themselves. Actually, fast food restaurants do not try to hide the fact that their food is high in fat. Most restaurants are very good about providing nutrition information about their foods. Fast food restaurants are much better at providing nutrition information than other restaurants are.

Moderation is key.
If you are going to eat at those place everyday, here are some tips to eat healthier.
- To decrease fat, avoid mayonnaise, cheese and bacon.
- Grilled chicken will be lower in total fat and saturated fat than a grilled hamburger. To decrease sodium, avoid cheese and pickles and salt on French fries.
- To keep calories in check, order items labeled small, junior or children’s. Avoid items that are large, jumbo, super or big. Kid’s meals are great for health conscious adults.
- Ask for low-fat milk or water instead of a soft drink.
- Add a side salad and fat free or low fat dressing.
