What is a Weblog?

According to Jorn Barger, a well-known blogger who coined the term, a Weblog is a "Web page where a Weblogger (sometimes called a blogger, or a pre-surfer) 'logs' all the other Web pages she finds interesting."

In 1999, Cameron Barrett published an article on his Weblog, Camworld, titled "Anatomy of a Weblog." If you'd like to read the article visit Camworld.

In the article Barrett describes crucial elements of a Weblog are:

-being updated regularly
-having repeat visitors that contribute links
-having an easy-to-use design
-having a theme
