| France is heralded
worldwide for the flavorful, intricate and often intense cuisine native
to the country. From delicious, fresh seafood on all coasts, to the pungent
olives and garlic of the south, to the “farmhouse” fare influenced
by the rich, fertile terrain of the mountains, French food is diverse. Yet
the underlying commonality is the tradition that is inherent in every dish. Each region of France has specialties characteristic of the area. Many ingredients are similar from province to province, but the dishes vary depending on local resources, traditions and customs. |
