From the concrete that built Yankee stadium, to the invention of the electrical light, Thomas Edison, with 1093 pattents, was one of the world's greatest contributors, and whose winter retreat can be found in Ft. Myers Florida.
The place is called the Edison Ford Estate. The Estate contains a tropical garden, laboratories where Edison himself worked at and conducted his last experiements, an artifact museum, the first ever swimming pool built in Florida.
The estate also contains Henry Ford's house, and plenty of old model-T's. Henry Ford was Thomas Edison's good friend and neighbor.
The estate is surrrounded by a tropical garden which includes thousands of plants imported from around the world. Most of which were planted for the purpose of research. It contains the second largest Bannyon tree in the world.
