Did You Know...

Krestny Khod

The highest-ranking member of the Russian Orthodox Church leads the Krestny Khod procession held on Christmas Eve, where the people carry candles, torches and lanterns around the church. They return indoors for carols and hymns before going home and eating a late Christmas Eve dinner. This is a long-standing tradition in Russian culture.

Babouschka

This woman did not give food or shelter to the three wise men as they searched for and visited Baby Jesus. Babouschka brings gifts to the Russian children as she continues searching for the Christ Child.
