Keeper Leagues
Keeper leagues are leagues where, after the initial season, the members of the league keep the same players. This changes the strategy of play dramatically. Instead of taking the best available players in the initial draft, a member might opt to take a younger player who will be more productive in the future. Depending on the league, the team owner will be allowed to keep a different number of players from the previous years, which can be just as few as a couple or as many as the entire team.
