Website for Appleton Museum

The Appleton Museum is located in Ocala Florida, and is only part of the experience gained at the Appleton Cultural Center. The Museum is the main focus, but also in the vacinity is the Ocala Civic Theatre and the Pioneer Garden Club. The Museum is home to about eight collections, ranging from American to Islamic to Contemporary. These wide varieties of artwork appeal to students, teachers, residents or tourists. Along with five different galleries, the Musuem provides three conference rooms, an art library, workshops, and an interactive video classroom. These accomadations encourage the use of the facility by basically any group or oranization.

Among the different colletions are African, American, Ancient, Asian, Contemporary, European, Islamic, and Pre-Columbian.

Along with just visiting the Museum, they encourage anyone who wants to volunteer there to come and apply. There expectations are simple, basically the volunteer must have a love of art and be willing to share that love with others. For more information on the qualifications you can contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Colleen Harper at: charper@appleton.fsu.edu
