Hugh and a fellow RBA director, accompanied by Hugh's son Hughbo, were watching polls when they witnessed marked ballots being handed out. After reporting the incident to law enforcement, the three reurned to watch the polls. A group of men attacked the three as well as a couple of reporters who were covering the scene.
