I welcome you to my Web site. I am currently enrolled in the College of Journalism and Communications in Gainesville, Florida. My major is Journalism with a specialization in Online Media. For this semester, I am taking Applied Interactive Newspapers that has an online magazine called Newszine.
After I graduate in August 2006, I plan to pursue a career in the Online Media field. I will either attend graduate school to study Media Law, or work for a Christian newspaper that has a Web site. Earlier this summer, I had a chance to work in the WCJB TV 20 newsroom as an intern.
I currently have an internship writing for the Gainesville Guardian, a newspaper that caters to the events in East Gainesville and the African-American community. The parent paper to the Guardian is the Gainesville Sun. The Guardian is also an affiliate of the New York Times' Media Group, according to former editor Charolette Roy.
