Gator Nights Show 2013

Hello! My name is Jessica Sheldon. I am a public relations and linguistics major at the University of Florida.

I came to UF in 2010 after graduating from high school in Tallahassee, Fla. I discovered public relations after deciding to explore the more creative side of business studies. An internship with the UF Media Properties helped me realize my interest in mass communications. I have enjoyed theatre and public speaking since I was 9 years old, so I decided it was a perfect fit.

My interest in the arts includes language and the philosophy behind it, which led to my double major in linguistics. I have a special interest in second language acquisition. When I graduate, I hope to have a certification in teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).

In my spare time, I do improvisational and sketch comedy with one of the nation's largest college improv groups, Theatre Strike Force. I have performed with them for three years. I've served as the club's philanthropy chair, treasurer, sketch director and advanced short form teacher. Please explore my Web site!
