My name is Caitlin O'Connell, I'm a senior Telecommunication major at the University of Florida. I grew up in West Palm Beach which is about 3 1/2 hours south of Gainesville. I hope to one day direct an Oscar nominated movie, but until then I enjoy taking pictures and writing. I'm a big fan of Florida Gator athletics but especially football and basketball. I'm also very passionate about movies and love anything directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

I transferred to the University of Florida from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida where I worked at the student newspaper Eagle News for two years. Where I developed a strong journalism background and majored in Communications.

While taking a class at the University of Florida called "Intro to Production" I discovered my love of filmmaking and hope to pursue a career in Los Angeles after I graduate.

When I first graduated high school and started attending Florida Gulf Coast University I had my heart set on going to law school, but after making my first short movie, which can be viewed in the "videos" tag, I realized there wasn't anything else I would rather do.
