I love staying busy, and I have many interests. When I'm not writing, I can probably be found training for a race or cooking a new recipe!

Exercise

I've always been a health junkie, and exercise is part of my daily routine. Soccer has always been my passion, and I enjoy playing in a Gainesville league on the weekends.

More recently, I've been serious about training for a triathlon. It's always been part of my personality to set high goals for myself, and after completing two half marathons, I decided I wanted to challenge myself to a new level. During the fall of my senior year, I joined UF's triathlon club, the TriGators. I've been swimming, biking and running, and I am ready to tackle my first triathlon in April.

Shrimp Scampi

I love trying new things in the kitchen! This is a hobby I picked up in college when I moved into an apartment. I have so much fun experimenting with different spices and recipes. One of my favorites is this shrimp scampi recipe. (Shown to the right) I try to cook everything with healthy, natural ingredients, and this one is even Weight Watcher friendly. Try it at home!

However, I will admit, I also have a sweet tooth and love baking. My favorite dessert is a homemade chocolate chip cookie. They're my weakness, and I can never get enough of them.

When I'm in the mood to try a new recipe, the first place I look is Epicurious. I find the majority of the recipes are delicious, and it's helpful to see the ratings others have given before you try it yourself.
