My Academic Record
After I finished my Associate in Arts degree at Broward College, I transferred to the University of Florida.
I was a little hesitant at first because of two things: first, I wasn't sure if I was going to get in, and second, I didn't know much about Gainesville.
Well, both of my concerns got taken care of.
On one hand, I received a letter in the mail congratulating me for becoming a part of the Gator Nation.
On the other hand, my sister and mother visited Gainesville and fell in love with the town. At this point, I started counting my days to move here.
I am pursuing a telecommunications major with a concentration on international relations. My goal is to go to law school once I'm done with my undergraduate degree.
My classes are very demanding, as well as all of my extracurricular activities.
I'm now involved with organizations that have a lot to do with career: I'm the vice-fundraising chair at the Society of Professional Journalists, UF Chapter; I'm the program coordinator at the Hispanic Communicators Association, UF Chapter; and I am currently the co-anchor and executive producer of Noticias WUFT 89.1.
Oh, and let's not forget that I also have to study for the LSAT, which I have to take next year. It sounds pretty exciting, huh?
It's been an exhausting roller coaster so far, but I cannot complain because my future looks so much brighter now than it did a couple of months ago. I'm simply enjoying my life to the fullest, but being responsible and persistent.
My career is improving by the minute, and I cannot wait to begin my journey as a professional.
