In My Spare Time...

Me on the Guitar

College has also sharpened my interest in a range of subjects. Meeting new people and trying new things expanded my horizons.

First off, a few infuential people strengthened and varied my taste in music. My father's in-depth knowledge of rock legends from the Rolling Stones to Tom Petty taught me to appreciate the classics.

My taste turned full circle when I attended a Bob Dylan concert at the University of Florida last October. I'm also a fan of old-time jazz music and love the past and current crooners, from the Rat Pack to Michael Buble.

I love to go to the movies with my friends and laugh our heads off at comedies or sob silent tears during independent films. It's a treat when we get $2 popcorn at Regal Cinemas on Tuesdays!

Cooking is a therapeutic hobby for me. I love the idea that I can create anything I want in the kitchen by following a recipe or experimenting myself. I model my foodie alter-ego after Italian chef Giada DeLaurentiis.

I also like to challenge myself physically. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I do something I thought my body never could. Even though five miles of running or an hour of power yoga may be tough, it feels so great in the end.
