Although my free time has been dwindling lately, I try to fill it with some of my favorite pastimes. One of which is dancing. I've been a dancer since I was 3 years old, and I've studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and modern. When I moved up to Gainesville, I joined a campus dance club called Dancin Gators. They have free dance shows at the end of every semester, and I performed in jazz, tap and lyrical numbers, such as the one pictured to the left. I haven't been able to participate since spring 2008, but I hope to get back sometime before I graduate.

Having always been an active person, I try to stay healthy with running, pilates and my new favorite pastime, yoga. I've been running since I joined the cross-country team as a freshman in high school. I use to run at least 3 miles every day. I'm trying to get back into the groove, but it's a lot harder than I remember. At least now I have yoga to help keep me calm and sane!

My favorit pastime by far is being with my family. College has been infringing on that time the past couple years, but I guess that's part of growing up. When I'm home, my family loves going to the movies. My parents are huge supporters of the arts so a few times a year, we all attend a couple of the touring Broadway shows that come through Orlando. Sometimes we go bowling or go for bicycle rides. Lately, my mom has been trying to spend her time teaching me how to cook. I'm getting there, but I don't plan on cooking the Thanksgiving dinner anytime soon. Since my brother and sister-in-law have a new daughter, we've spent must of our time doting on Ella. I had forgotten how much fun it was to play. And we are all looking for to the new addition to the family.
