"Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life." Mark Twain

books

I absolutely love reading. I'm a writer, and I don't think anyone should be allowed to claim that if they don't love reading. A book is magical, an instant friend, it is shelter, a distraction, a comfort blanket and a teacher. There is nothing I love more than going into an attic, or an old library, picking up a dusty, forgotten book, and then curling up under a tree to read. For anyone on the UF campus I highly recommend getting a Chai tea from Starbucks and then going to plaza of the america's to curl up with a good book. I promise, nothing is better. :-)

A few of my favorites: A Tale of Two Cities, Pride and Prejudice, The Chosen, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Wizard's First Rule, the Harry Potter series, A Brave New World, The Giver, Rebel Angels, People of the Book, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, You Shall Know Our Velocity!, The Time Traveler's Wife, The Confessions of Max Tivoli, and so many more. I suppose that my true favorite is whatever book I am currently reading at the time, because I am not sure I have ever read a book I truly dislike.
