friends

I work extremely hard for everything I have achieved, but it is nice to sit back and relax occasionally. Without my friends I wouldn't know what to do. They keep me grounded and prevent me from going crazy with stress. I love all of them and I hope they all realize just how much!

Sigma Kappa

sisters

I never thought I would join a sorority, but now that I have I couldn't imagine college life without being a sister. I am a member of Sigma Kappa. One heart, one way! I don't know how those girls put up with me, but I'm so glad they do.

Some hobbies...

surfing
I did not take or tinker with this photo. I found it on flickr.

My interests are widespread and varied. Although I can flit from hobby to hobby many stay the same. Ever since I was young I have loved the ocean and anything that goes with it. Some people call me a beach bum, but I think I'm just a creative soul who believes in the power of the ocean's beauty. My family has a boat and I love going out on it to tan, fish or even wakeboard and tube. I also love swimming. In fact, in high school I was on the swim team. I also learned to surf in 2007 in Puerto Rico, and I will love to go again as soon as I get the chance. Speaking of Puerto Rico, I love to travel. I haven't done much traveling myself, but I know I will. In fifth grade I was able to visit my Uncle in Paris and I was blessed enough to live in St.Thomas when I was about five years old. I have also visited many states along the east coast, and Pennsylvania (where I was born) is one of my favorite places to visit. It may seem like a lot of traveling, but with all the places there are to go, I don't think it is.

rock climbing

I also love rock-climbing! I first got into rock-climbing at summer camp in Pennsylvania. (Shameless plug: Camp Hebron is an amazing place!) Now I try to rock-climb almost every week at The Gainesville Rock Gym . I strongly recommend rock-climbing to everyone especially those that are afraid of heights. I used to be deathly afraid of heights, but climbing really gives you a sense of accomplishment. I personally would never have the guts to try and conquer my fears if I hadn't first conquered heights.

I don't only seek heights rock-climbing, however, I also love roller-coasters. I am a roller-coaster fiend. I've only recently been to Busch Gardens with my sorority, but I now love it because of Gwazi, Montu and Shiekra.
