Irina's Virtual Home
Hi, there! I am glad you decided to visit my webpage. Actually, you just crossed a virtual border of Florida, because that's where I live.

I am a Ph.D. student in media law at the University of Florida in Gainesville. If any of you know Professor William Chamberlin, director of the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information, you will be pleased to learn that he is my adviser.

I received my master's degree in mass communications at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St.Paul). And I am very proud that Professor Donald Gillmor, one of the pioneers in the area of media law, supervised my graduate work there.

Rehearsal of Opera in Moscow As you probably noticed, my name is Russian. I am a native of Moscow, Russia, and that's where I earned my bachelor's degree in journalism. I also worked as a reporter for the daily newspaper The Moscow Times, a crude oil newsletter Netfe Compass, and a number of Russian-language publications.

Currently, I am very much interested in intellectual property issues and the Internet. If any of you would like to share with me your perspectives on this topic, please feel free to send me an e-mail!

See you later! (alligator...)
