About Me

I am a senior journalism major at the University of Florida who dreams of putting her online media and editing concentrations to use as an editor at a Christian book publishing house.

As you can see from visiting my resume page, I've been busy acquiring the skills I will need as communicator in a world where print, broadcasting, and online media have melded into one. My preparation for this world has taken the form of volunteering for the campus radio and tv stations, producing both print and online content for the largest student-run newspaper in the country, familiarizing myself with the photo medium and its technology, and finally, immersing myself into the publishing world as an intern for a local publishing house.

Outside of school, I love to wake up early on Saturday mornings to get my hands dirty with the UF Habitat for Humanity, participate in a Bible study with my friends in the Navigators ministry, take long bike rides, bake, and curl up with a good book (especially one written by a Christian author or Chuck Palahniuk).

I'm also a self-taught knitter. If you're interested in starting this utilitarian hobby, check out my page for beginning knitters.
