I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and still have a portfolio that dates back to about the fourth grade, but I have been particularly developing my skills as a portrait artist since 2007. I have won awards from the Greater Jacksonville Fair, in which I won first and second places for graphite (pencil) drawings in 2010.

I work freelance as an artist and am available for hire. Each piece of artwork is different, but portraits may start as low as $30. Some examples of my work are included below.

Willie Nelson

Portrait: Willie Nelson

I completed this portrait of country music legend Willie Nelson in October 2010 at the request of a family member. The portrait took about five hours (noncontinuous) of work to complete.

After growing up with Willie Nelson's music, I consider him one of my favorite country legends. I love his unmistakable offbeat and whining country voice, for his talents as a songwriter and for his unbreakable attitude and personality.

This drawing, completed on 9" by 12" paper, won first place at the 2010 Greater Jacksonville Fair.

Tim Tebow

Portrait: Tim Tebow

I completed this portrait of former Florida Gators quarterback Timmy Tebow in December 2009. The portrait took about four hours (noncontinuous) to complete.

I completed this not long after I attended Tebow's final game in The Swamp. I was in my first year at the University of Florida when Tebow was in his last, and I had the pleasure of attending each home game during his final season there. The portrait is inscribed with 2 Timothy 1:2-4 as a farewell to Tebow.

This drawing, completed on 9" by 12" paper, won second place at the 2010 Greater Jacksonville Fair.

Johnny Cash

Portrait: Johnny Cash

In December 2010, I completed this portrait of country music legend Johnny Cash as a young man. The portrait, completed on 9" by 12" paper, took about five hours (noncontinuous) to complete.

I grew up listening to the music of Johnny Cash (even more so than I did Willie Nelson) and have always revered his music and his influence on others' music. Some of my favorite Cash songs — and ones I could always be found singing as a child — include "Folsom Prison Blues," "Tennessee Flat-Top Box," "I've Been Everywhere" and "Ring of Fire."

I have also written poems dedicated to the musical influence of Johnny Cash.

Shahrukh Khan

Portrait: Shahrukh Khan

I completed this portrait of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan in February 2011. The portrait took about six hours (noncontinuous) to complete.

I stumbled my way into Bollywood, which would quickly become a hobby and obsession, in late 2010. My two first Bollywood films were two of Khan's big hits: "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," which remains my favorite Bollywood film. Khan is also my favorite Bollywood actor.
