I grew up in a small industrial town called Puerto Ordaz. This city is characterized for its

hydroelectric dam, Guri. The dam is situated in the middle of the city, making Puerto Ordaz

the only city in the world with this characteristic; I used to visit Guri a lot for school

trips.

Venezuela is the perfect place for nature lovers because it is home of many natural beauties,

such as the highest waterfall in the world, El Salto Angel(Angel Falls).

The name comes from Jimmie Angel, an American aviator who discovered it on

November 18, 1933.

The gastronomy in Venezuela has a lot of variety. They have Pabellon Criollo, which is the

most popular dish and consists of fried plantains, shredded beef, black beans and white rice.

They also have the popular Arepa, which is a corn flour tortilla that can be filled in with

cheese, beef, beans, vegetables, or anything that the person would like.
