One of the most gratifying experiences we've had as local musicians happened Friday night at 1982.

Watching the crowd mimicking the steps of John Gray and Brandon on "You're All Mine" was it. Normally at shows, people stare at you like they would a television set. No one dances. The crowd members just stand there with their hands in their pockets. But this time, it was different.

This time, the crowd became part of the show. They showed us on stage that they dug what we were doing and were having a good time with it. And it wasn't just one or two guys in the crowd being clowns and stepping out of the box. No, this was the whole floor, moving with us.

That's what we call gratification.

Thank you, Gainesville.
