In the summer of 2006, I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Italy for six weeks with my classmates from Interior Design. We took courses in Architectural History as well as hand sketching and Italian. It was truly the best summer I have ever had, filled with amazing food, fine wine, culture, and wonderful memories. I formed lasting friendships with many of the girls that I traveled with, most of whom I still keep in contact with today.

Though we were given the option to travel outside of the country on our weekends, my travel group wanted to explore Italy in its entirety. We spent most weeks in the city of Vicenza right outside Venice where our studios were held. Therefore, many of our travels were around the Veneto region. We were also able to take a couple of excursions to Rome, the Amalfi coast, Sienna, Lake Como, Florence, and Milan.
