Marvelous Melbourne

Jennifer Clark Last spring semester I studied abroad at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. I was a full-time exchange student in the Faculty of Law and Management with 60 credits or 4 subjects of coursework. This was by far the best decision I've made in college. Even though I'd studied abroad before, it was an entirely different experience being away for a full semester. Melbourne became my second home and my friends and classmates became like family. The culture capital played host to events and festivals every week I was there and the diverse neighborhoods, music and fashion, street art, and museums and galleries made Melbourne an ideal city to study and live in for six months.

In the Land of Down Under

Jennifer Clark Throughout the semester I took several weekend trips around Victoria and to Sydney. I also went to New Zealand for two weeks during my mid-semester break. During my study break at the end of the semester, I did a bus trip up the east coast stopping in Byron Bay, the Gold Coast (Surfer's Paradise), Brisbane, Hervey Bay, Arlie Beach and the Whitsundays. After the semester ended, I spent a week traveling around Queensland to Cape Tribulation, Daintree, Port Douglas and Cairns where I did 12 dives in three days in the Great Bariier Reef.
