Picture of Mita

I consider myself a multicultural person. I was born in Nigeria, grew up in Brunei, a very small country in Southeast Asia, moved from there to England, and I am now at the University of Florida studying online journalism with a minor in business.

An intersting thing about me is that I'm 19 and I'm a senior. I'm scheduled to graduate before I turn 20, which is ridiculous (I know).

My family means everything to me, and I feel so blessed to be a part of it. I have a brother and a siter, and they are my best friends.

In the future, I hope to be in a position where I can bring attention to injustices that aren't typically a part of the public consciousness. This is a large part of why I love studying media. I don't think there's any better education than being taught the power of your voice. I hope to somehow tell stories. I would love to make documentaries.

The thing that is of utmost importance to me is my faith. Knowing that God loves me and Jesus died for me gives me a whole new perspective on all the things I experience. I desire to be a person who shows others the same love that has been undeservingly bestowed upon me.
