I see Beijing, China

Tiananmen Square flag lowering ceremony 798 art gallery Boutique store at Shichahai

You will never get bored in this capital city.
You will be exposed to solemn and magnificent ancient architectures. You cannot miss the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Place and the Tiananmen Square when you are in Beijing.

My recommendation for you:

  1. Squeeze your time to see the Tiananmen Square daily flag-raising or flag-lowering ceremony. Time? Here.
  2. Go to the 798 art gallery. Trendy art in the old Chinese factory, what a combination!
  3. Shichahai, the lake area just behind the Forbidden City, is my favorite spot. You can shop at boutique stores or simply enjoy the lake view there.

One more thing for you, go to one of the Quanjude restaurants and taste the toasted duck.

I see Shanghai,China

Gaint baby in Spain pavillion USA pavillion China pavillion

What is hot in Shanghai? 2010Shanghai Expo!
Different pavilions, interesting events and eye-opening stuff. But you do need to stand or sit in a long long long (i mean it) line to get access to those things.
Act quickly! The Expo will end on October 31, 2010.
Besides Expo, 450-year-old Yuyuan Garden, the Bund, and Xintiandi are waiting for you in this metropolis.

I see Tokyo,Japan

Tokyo night view Tokyo subway map me in kimono

Tokyo is one of my favorite cities in the world.
I love the flashing neon lights; I love the busy but organized transportation; I love the blend of yesterday and tomorrow.
Try to use the Tokyo subway and get lost in the transportation and translation. I promise it will be an very interesting experience.
My travel principle is to act locally. So put on the kimono and enjoy the Onsen (hot spring) in Japan!
