My name is Julianna Spence. I am 20 years old and am a junior at the University of Florida. I am majoring in journalism and have a minor in family, youth, and community sciences. I previously transferred from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandsing and Santa Fe College. I received my AA degree from Santa Fe College and am currently working on my BA from the University of Florida. I plan to apply to New York University and the University of Southern California to get my graduate degree in journalism.

I am a very hard-working and determined person. I hate to give up on something and keep working until I solve the problem. I pride myself in my ability to talk to anybody, anywhere. Being I am a people person, I work well with others and love to hear what others have to think. I take constructive criticism well and do my best to improve those things. I am a very independent individual. I was always taught to never rely on someone. If you want something done, the best way to do it is-- do it yourself. I am a very hands-on learner. I love to experience things myself so I understand what I am doing. Some say I'm a dreamer, and they're right, I am. I have a lot of things that I want to do with my life and I will eventually complete them all. All in all, I am very determined and work hard to the achieve the goals I've set for myself.

I've had two jobs my whole life. I have worked as a waitress at a little Italian restaurant called Buon Appetito Cafe, and am now hostessing at Amelia's Italian Cuscina. On the side, I baby-sit for a family in Gainesville, Florida. I have volunteered with Camp Boggy Creek, a camp for children with death threatening illnesses, and at Habitat for Humanity.

I am interested in photography, sports, pop-culture, fashion/ shoes, traveling, movies, music and writing. I have traveled to Panama, Ecuador, Mexico, and other countries in Central America. I hope to study abroad in Australia and England. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends and go to the beach.

In the future, I hope to own my own magazine. I would love to have my own talk show, where I can host celebrities and talk about pop-culture. I want to be able to work from home and be my own boss, so that I can enjoy my family. I would also love to travel the world, pitch a TV show idea, and write a book or two. Along the way, I hope to inspire people the way that others have done for me.
