Hobbies

This page is more or less self-explanatory. I've listed some of my favorites hobbies as well as why I enjoy them. Hopefully this will provide better insight into who I am as a person, and get my instructors and classmates to get to better know me.

Video games

Video games are the cornerstore of many people's hobbies, I think. Looking back over the past decade, my generation would have been lost without a Nintendo 64 and Sony Playstation to guide us. Now we've upgraded to many types of "next-gen" systems, and I'm right there with the change. I love playing all sorts of cool, innovative multiplayer games on my Wii, and the Playstation 2 had some of the best RPG titles of all time, which I still play. I even have my N64 with me in college for reminiscing's sake.

Movies

Movies teach us everything from the funniest new ways to be hip, what to do if a Christmas party is interrupted by Russian bankrobbers, and how to avoid being eaten in a theme park filled with dinosaurs. It's no wonder that Hollywood's been one of the few consistently-successful industries in the world. Atleast once or twice a month I'll make an effort to go to the theaters to view the latest blockbuster, and internet streaming is a godsend when thinking of new ways to procrastinate.

Some of my favorites movies include:

And the list goes on...

Sports

Being a junior in college means I don't get the opportunity to play as much as I used to, but I still make an effort to play as often as I can. I'm admittedly not the best at these sports, but I enjoy playing basketball and volleyball a lot. Football is my favorite sport to play, and I'm actually good at it, but the physical toll associated with the game means we don't get to play often during the week. Tennis and soccer are also very fun to play as long as it's not too sunny outside.

Parties!

Gainesville is a college town that begs its student to throw some of the best parties in the country. In three years I've been to football victory parties, street parties, glow-in-the-dark paint parties, pool parties, "study" parties, and all sorts of other parties that help students from having an otherwise productive and boring weekend. If I didn't have parties to go to every weekend, I might actually have completed this site on time and not on Monday night during the Vikings-Jets football game.(Just kidding!)
