Where I've Been
I absolutely love to travel.
I began to travel at an early age with my family - We take yearly vacations all over the United States. I've seen all the corners of the US and everything in between. Some of my favorite trips have been Hawaii; Ocean Isle, NC; New England; California and the Grand Canyon region.
The travel bug really sank its teeth in when I was 15 years old. My sophomore year of high school I traveled to Italy for two weeks with a group of my closest friends and two of our favorite teachers. We went to Pisa, Florence, Rome, Assisi, Pompeii and San Gimignano. It was here that I fell in love with the Tuscan countryside.
My senior year, I took a two-week trip to Greece with basically the same group of people. I couldn't get enough of the history, the Mediterranean and, of course, the baklava!
My most recent excursion was in the summer of 2010 when I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain for two months. It was the experience of a lifetime. I learned so much about the langauge and culture, got to travel almost every weekend, watched Spain win the World Cup and made some lifelong friends.
