Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

{Writings, Designs, and Photos}

Along with being in the International Baccalaureate Program, yearbook took up a lot of my time in high school. I joined journalism in yearbook my freshman year and fell in love with it. I had the opportunities to be subeditor, photo editor, and graphic design editor. I also had the opportunity to become editor in chief, but turned it down knowing that graphic design was my passion. Senior year was the toughest by far, though. Not only was I engulfed in turning in papers and preparing for oral examinations for IB, but here I was, also in charge of designing 354 pages of a yearbook. I worked so hard to produce a graphically pleasing book, and to be honest, I didn’t care what my peers thought about it, but rather for professional judging by our publishing company. Both my junior and senior years were what led me to know what I want to do in life, and that’s be as creative as possible with advertising, web design, and magazine layouts. Maybe I should do an online magazine that advertises a lot. Here are some examples of my work from yearbook, including some of my stories, designs, and photography.
