Oh, the places I've gone...and the many more places to come!

Los Angeles, CA

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Living in Los Angeles this summer has been one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. While I may never live there again, I will definately visit as often as possible. It is one of my favorite cities. I saw many of the tourist sights more than enough times. However, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a must-see, and Celine Dion's star was a big deal for me!

The Walk of Fame is very entertaining because of all the people from all over the world that flock to it. If the tourists aren't enough to entertain you as they line up to take picture after picture, there is also the artists and movie characters that stop by. I saw Captain Jack Sparrow, the Tin Man, Spongebob Square Pants and even Marilyn Monroe. Bands play their music for money, and one time I saw two kids, maybe 15 years old, out playing for donations. These things only happen in a city like L.A.

When you've had enough, go next door to the Kodak Theatre where the Oscars are held and there are countless places to eat, drink, and shop!

New York City, NY

Prada store

I loved L.A. but the big apple is my all time favorite city. There is no plce like it. My favorite district is SoHo- some of the best shopping on the East coast. It's a cozy little part of the city, with unique charm and an artsy vibe. SoHo is the homey side of the big city.

The shopping experience in SoHo ranges from high-end, designer stores to boutique shopping. Anything you are looking for, you will find in this district. One of my favorite stores is a small jewelry shop called Mirror, Mirror on the Wall. The cute and creative name should be enough to draw you inside to see the unique, special pieces. You won't leave without buying something. The area even manages to give a charming vibe to the big name stores. When you walk into Prada in SoHo, it is smaller and easier to shop in. You feel like you are finding a new, small designer shop instead of a fashion icon. Don't think the store loses its glamour in any way though. The price tags will remind you where you are.

When you need a break from shopping, head over to the SoHo Grand Hotel where its bar and lounge offers a swanky atmosphere to kick your feet back. You'll probably even spot some celebrities as you sip your drink.
