This summer I traveled out of the country for the first time. My family and I went to Italy for two weeks and we stayed mainly in Rome, Florence and the Tuscany region. While in Rome, I visited the Colosseum, the Vatican, St. Pope's Square and much more. I also threw a coin in the famous Trevi Fountain. People say that means I will return to Rome someday. I hope so!
In Florence we spent a lot of time visiting the famous museums and soaking in the culture of the city. I loved seeing The David statue and other famous works of art I have studied about in school.
At the end of the trip, we traveled by bike through beautiful Tuscany for one week and met some amazing people. We biked up to 50 miles a day, and the weather was always perfect! This trip was one of the best experiences of my life and I look forward to traveling much more in the future.
