I am a 21-year-old college senior at the University of Florida. I am graduating in May of 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and a Health Science concentration. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY. I lived in Montclair, NJ during my school years and graduated from Montclair High School in 2005.

Since I have been at UF I have experienced three national championships. Two with the the Gator Basketball Team and one with the Football Team. Picture of Mom After I graduate I hope to move back to the NY/NJ area and be able to spend more time with my family. My mother, Rhonda, is from Trinidad, an island in the carribean. My mother is very important to me. She is the rock of my foundation. She always keeps me grounded, focused and motivated to conquer and perfect anything that I may come across. Although she can be conservative my mother is very open minded and has taught me to be tolerant of all people. She has instilled in my the ideals of never judging people and accepting them for who they are. Picture of Travis

I have a younger brother and his name is Travis. He is 16 years old. My Brother is very important to me. Since he is my only sibling I care for him a lot and sometimes treat him has though he were my own child, even though he can be annoying at times.

I hope to leave my mark in journalism that is similar to Michael Angela Davis. If you don't know who she is, you should google her. I have always been inspired to write. I was told by my aunt it was the most powerful outlet that anyone has. I believe this is why I was driven to write and pursue it as a profession. I like expressing myself and sharing how I feel and what I know with others. It is important for me to have my voice heard. I believe that sharing piece of mind is how we gain greater understanding of not only ourselves but each other as unique individuals.
