Travel - New York City

New York City

The majority of my lifetime has been spent in New York City, so what better place to speak about? Only 2 hours away my plane (and an unfortunate 24 by car), New York City is a place rich with culture and excitement. This past summer, I spent 3 months living under their overcrowded conditions, but there was no other place I wanted to be.

Blockheads

Blockheads

Blockheads was where I spent a lot of my socializing time in New York City. Scrumptious Mexican food at reasonable prizes, al fresco dining, and amazing margaritas. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who love good food and good times.

Sea

Sea

A great alternative to Mexican is Thai food - and the best is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. For those intense Sex and the City fans, Sea will appear familiar because it was actually featured in an episode under a different name: Raw. Aside from its fame, Sea has delicious food and exotic drinks for those who like to try new things. Also, the location is in a really indie part of town, which adds to its appeal.

Lemon Ice King of Corona

Lemon Ice King of Corona

The best way to top things off is to take a long trip to the borough of Queens for some Italian ices. They have a total of 37 flavors, 4 of which are sugar-free. My personal favorite is vanilla chocolate chip, and who knows, maybe it could be your favorite as well!

Entertainment and Information

Empire State Building

For the most spectacular views of New York City, the Empire state Building is the place to go. It takes 2 elevators to reach the top, but the transfer and wait is so worth it.

Central Park

Central Park is the largest piece of greenery in all of Manhattan. This park is filled with numerous things to do, including dining, ice skating, animal-viewing, and tanning. Often times, there are many free events that take place within Central Park, so it is definitely a hot spot for entertainment.

Brooklyn Bridge

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge is one activity that I would recommend for a romantic couple. The stroll is about 30 minutes long, and there is a beautiful park at the end of the walk. Many picture-taking opportunities, and available times to talk.
