My preferred ways of wasting time

My main hobby at the moment is playing rugby with the club team here at UF. I have been playing for three years now, and I am the vice president of the club. I play second row on the team, which is a forward position. That's actually me to the right, getting ready to jump for a line-out. For those of you less rugby savvy, you can go to our good friends at Wikipedia for a history and how to of the game.

During the rugby season, which last from the beginning of fall semester through the end of spring semester, the UF women's team travels all around the southeastern United States. We play teams like Florida State University, Clemson and most recently College of Charleston. Last year we went to nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

As of late, I have started to dabble in club rowing at UF as well. It is an exhausting sport, but I like it and hope that all the hard work put in will pay off. I have already started to get calluses from rowing, so that is promising.

And, when not doing either of those things, I am either studying at the library on campus or working at the esteemed local newspaper, the Independent Florida Alligator. I work back in production making ads using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. It has been a really great learning experience and I really enjoy it.

Though it's not my job, I have also been published in the Alligator. Below are some links to my better clips.
