02 My Travels

Canada, eh?

During the summer of 2008 my family and I went on a road trip to Canada. Along the way we stopped in Asheville, N.C. and saw the Biltmore Estate. It took us roughly 3 days of driving and stopping to get to Niagara Falls and eventually to Toronto.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls was definitely one of the most awe inspiring places I've ever been. The falls are just massive and the water falling can be kind of hypnotic. The area around Niagara Falls is very touristy so there were plenty of things to do. While we were there we rode the Maid of the Mist and explored the Cave of the Winds. The whole trip was an awesome experience.

The photo on the left is the Canadian Falls, also referred to as the Horseshoe Falls. The photo on the right is me, my dad and my brother getting ready to go into the Cave of the Winds. The cave leads to a boardwalk at the bottom of the American Falls where tourists can stand right where the water crashes down.
