I am a junior at the University of Florida majoring in journalism and economics. My immediate goal is to go to law school after I graduate from UF. I really have no idea of what I want to do after law school. I'm hoping that my long-term goals will become clear to me soon, though.

Although I don't currently have plans to become a professional journalist, I do have experience working at newspapers. I wrote briefly for the Independent Florida Alligator during the spring of 2007. In summer 2008, I had an internship at a local paper in my hometown called My Clay Sun -- a county-based supplementary paper to the Florida Times-Union. I wrote perhaps a dozen stories for this paper during the course of the summer. I am currently working at the Independent Florida Alligator again, but this time I'm a copy editor. That basically means I read other people's stories and correct errors in fact, grammar, spelling and punctuation. I also write headlines.

I have an online résumé if you're interested in knowing a little about my work history. If you want to take a look at some of my clips from My Clay Sun, just click on the links below. Note that I took most of the pictures for those stories, as well.
