Nick Batty's Home Page [Hobbies]

Naturally, my hobbies center around the outdoors. I am an avid hunter, and enjoy hunting almost every species with every type of weapon. From deer to squirrels to bobcats to turkey, I've spent a lot of time sitting in the woods.

Lately, most of my "hobby time" has centered around training Dixie, my 6-month-old German shorthaired pointer, to point and retrieve quail. She is my first bird dog and, I must say, she is a good friend and will be one helluva bird dog when she has a few (hundred) more birds under her belt.

Additionally, archery is one of my favorite things to do. I shoot both recurve (traditional) and compound (hunting) bows on a daily basis. Honestly, I've never killed anything with either. But I still enjoy putting the arrows into the target.

Shooting sporting clays is another important hobby of mine. It helps keep me in shape for quail season, as well as gives me a chance to show off my 1924 Parker Bros. 12 gauge. It might not seem like a big deal, but my dad gave me this weapon, and it is one of my most prized possessions.

This page, if you couldn't tell, was made by Nick Batty. If someone else would have created it, it would make them a stalker. If you want to know more, drop me an e-mail.
