I have had the privilege of working with a bunch of wonderful organizations during my last three years in college. After my freshman year, I was offered a position as an editorial intern at Rowland Publishing, Inc. in Tallahassee. My responsibilities included interviewing, writing and revising a variety of stories including but not limited to: features, fashion shoots, calendar of events, advertisements and product pages. My experience there is something I will never take for granted. The editor, Rosanne Dunkelberger, pushed me to be creative and helped me enhance my writing and interviewing skills. She was not only an editor and boss, but a mentor to me as well.

I've also had the opportunity to work on campus for two years at U.F. for the Florida Scholastic Press Association. As an office staffer, I learned first-hand the importance of team work and time management. Our six-person office staff was responsible for planning and overseeing the state convention with more than 1,000 high school students and advisers in attendance.

I also serve on the Executive Council for my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, as the historian reporter and am an ambassador for the College of Journalism and Communications.
