I am indebted to the men and women who reached into my life from my idols who wrote down the words, to my parents who put the books in my hands. My mind was reopened with each turn of a page.

These men taught me how to live and how not to live. They represented paths taken, both failed and successful. Most importantly, they illustrated the power of the written word.
