I love to travel. I was born in Key Largo, so I enjoyed the natural beauty of the islands growing up. In fifth grade, I had the chance to go to Costa Rica on a school field trip. I got to climb a volcano, hike through the rainforest, and hatch baby leatherback turtles on the black-sand beach. The experience opened my eyes to traveling and how much there is in this world that I want to see.
I've been all over the U.S. as well. I've been everywhere from San Fransisco, New York City, Boston and Miami, to places like Boone, North Carolina and St. Augustine, Florida.
I'm not done with traveling, not by far. I hope I'll get to go to Greece, where my father's side of the family is from, and Italy, where my mother's parents both emmigrated from. I'd also like to visit Finland, where my neighbors grew up.
I never got the chance to study abroad in college, so my plan is to live somewhere exciting in another country for a few years. I've looked at Berlin, London and South Africa, but as of now, I'm setting my sights on Australia. I'd love to spend a year or two living in Sydney and working for a magazine.
