College is about more than just classes and academics. To me, college is the time to live life to the fullest. Friends, going out to clubs and bars, joining student groups, working fun jobs and athletics are all part of the experience.
Athletics is one of the college experiences I live for. I have been to every home Gator football game except for two (coincidentally, both have been against Kentucky). The Swamp is a place I can go to on game day or on any other given day. Whatever the occassion, I get goosebumps every single time walk into the stadium. I can feel the excitement in the air. I can hear Gator chants. It holds countless defining moments of my college career at the University of Florida. Go Gators, now and forever!
Yosemite National Park in California is one of the most serene places I have ever been to. The last time I was there was four years ago, before my freshman year of college. It may have been the best segway into college life I could have encountered.
You can't be stressed here - all you have are the mountains, the waterfalls and the hiking trails. It truly melts away any tension you have bundled up inside of you, and anytime college throws something stressful at me, I sit back and look at my pictures, and just remember the amazing time I had those years ago.
New York is any journalists' dream. Well, it's mine anyway. I've been once, and only once, but I'm hooked, and I can't wait to go back as soon as I can. Everything about it just takes my breath away. See, I'm from Miami, FL, so I'm what you would call a "big-city" girl. But I'm not a fan of driving everywhere like you have to do in Miami. I want to walk out my door and be able to walk the city at my leisure.
Broadway, Central Park, 5th Avenue, Manhattan, Brooklyn. New York is the city that never sleeps, and that's OK with me!
