To become a secondary English teacher and to assume the duties that go along with being the person responsible for overseeing the student-run school newspaper.

August 2003-present: St. Petersburg Times: Gainesville, Fla.
Correspondent Sports Writer: I assisted beat writer Antonya English in her duties in a variety of ways. I wrote 4 practice reports each week during football season, a sidebar story at every game and cover other sports such as basketball, baseball and soccer.
January 2003-present: Independent Florida Alligator: Gainesville, Fla.
Beat writer, columnist, sports editor: I started at the Alligator as a gymnastics beat writer and was quickly promoted to football writer and columnist. I assumed the sports editor duties during my third semester and currently serve as a staff writer and columnist.
July 2001-August 2003: Duffy's Sports Bar and Grill: Greenacers, Fla.
Busser, server: I began as a busser and proved myself to be valuable enough to be placed on the floor as a server. When I left for school, I was the second-longest tenured server in the restaurant. I gained valuable experience in terms of dealing with customers and handling stressful and demanding situations.

2003-present: University of Florida
I will receive my journalism degree in reporting following the spring semester and plan on enrolling in the secondary English PROTEACH program in the College of Education in the fall.
2001-2003: Palm Beach Community College
Although I enrolled late into the two-year program, I received my Associate of Arts degree in under 18 months.
1996-2000: Wellington Community High School
Graduated on time with the class of 2000. While I studied general education instead of a journalism-based cirriculum, I graduated with a 3.4 gpa and was heavily involved in the marketing program.
