Tom playing drums

"There are chords in the hearts of the most reckless, which cannot be touched without emotion." ~ E. A. Poe ~

Music is another passion of mine. I consider myself open-minded to all genres of music, but I am very selective when it comes to what I'll listen to on a regular basis. Some reasons why I like the bands I do are because they have a message, provoke feeling and thought and most importantly, are talented.

I would like to consider myself a musician, but not an excellent one. I play both guitar and keyboard and practice as much as possible. I also own an Ipod, which I bring with me everywhere I go. It holds my entire music selection and brings me much joy. When the funds allow, I attend both local and not-so-local shows. With the technology now that can make anyone sound good on a CD, I can really appreciate a band who plays good live music.

Tom, pictured on the right, plays drums and plays very well, I might add. Many of my friends are musically inclined and have been in and out of bands. We often hang out and just jam on our various instruments. Among all of us, we have a pretty large collection.

Here are a couple bands I enjoy. Check out their Web sites:
Thrice
Thrice is one of my favorite bands of all time. They are epic.
Incubus
The band just came out with a new CD, but I am still listening to good ol' S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
Glassjaw
These guys are crazy, and I have yet to see them in concert.
Jack Johnson
For after those long days at the beach. Jack Johnson is amazing in both music and film.
