The Olympic Lifts


Snatch:

The snatch is more of a finesse lift that takes a lot of flexibility and coordination to complete. The snatch is performed by lifting the bar from the ground all the way over your head in one fluid motion.

Clean and Jerk:

The clean and jerk in my opinion is the best lift to evaluate an athletes overall power and strength. The clean is performed by brining the bar from the ground to your chest. The jerk is performed by taking the weight from your chest and hoisting the weight over your head in one fluid motion.
