Below are several samples of items I have written. Some of these items are several years old, and others are only a few months old. The samples are in PDF format and will open in new browser windows. LASIK Holds Sight for Future - This is a story I had published in the Florida Keys Free Press. The story was originally written for MMC 2100 (Writing for Mass Communication) here at the University of Florida. We received extra credit for finding a newspaper to publish our story. The paper required extensive research, and many interviews to accomplish.

World Youth Day: Reaffirming faith - This is a feature story I wrote for The Florida Catholic newspaper. The story is a first-person narrative of my experience during World Youth Day 2002 in Toronto, Canada. The first page is the Front Page of The August 8th, 2002 issue. The dominant picture is of Melissa Quintana takend during the Saturday night Vigil. The second page contains my story.

The Ozone - This is a short poem I wrote for a writing assignment for Earth Day six years ago. The assignment was to take a current piece of poetry and re-write it using the same/similar syntax. This poem is to be read in the style of Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven.
